The Felton is our elevated take on the classic VW Transporter campervan — a proper answer to the flat-pack, fully-carpeted conversions you see everywhere. Traditional layout, premium finish, zero compromise. Every panel, worktop and light is chosen and fitted by hand in our Northumberland workshop, so it feels calm and high-end from the moment you slide the door open. Proper.
Built around the VW Transporter or Ford Transit Custom, the Felton keeps the familiar, sociable layout people love — then lifts every material and detail to a standard you’d normally only find in a much bigger, much pricier van.
The details are where it earns its keep: choose your ceiling finish — our signature honeycomb-effect oak, straight slats or flowing contour lines — set above solid-oak worktops, with a live-edge finish on the upgrade list. Add brass fittings and warm ambient lighting and you’ve an interior with real craftsmanship behind it. A higher-quality build in a layout you already know and love — equally at home on the school run or a week off-grid.

The Felton is perfect if you want a camper that works as an everyday driver and a fully-functional home on wheels. The interior is bright, warm and practical, with a sociable seating area behind the cab, a proper side kitchen and thoughtful touches everywhere you look.
Because it’s built to order, the Felton is yours to personalise — cabinetry sprayed in any colour, your choice of upholstery, worktop, LVT flooring and wall-panel shade, so no two ever leave the workshop the same.
Built on either a VW Transporter or Ford Transit Custom and available in short or long wheelbase, you get a proven, drivable layout that suits the commute, the school run, day trips and long adventure weekends alike.

Ford Transit Custom
Available in both short-wheelbase (SWB) and long-wheelbase (LWB) — choose SWB for a compact, nimble camper or LWB for extra length, storage and lounging space.
New or good-quality used base vehicles both work well for this build.
Each gives you everything you need for the classic layout with a RIB 112 bed, side kitchen, pop-top roof and generous seating. Two ways to build your Felton: bring your own base van, or choose Signature Complete and we’ll supply a brand-new one — sourced, registered and converted, then handed over ready to drive. Either way, we’re always happy to advise on the best VW Transporter or Transit Custom for your build.
Seating: Berths for Family or Friends
Designed for everyday life and adventure, the Felton seats 3–5 — a driver’s seat plus a double passenger seat up front (two or three across the cab), with a two-seat RIB bench in the rear.
The front double sits on a sliding swivel base as standard, spinning round to face the living space; if you’d rather have easier walk-through access, it can be swapped for a single passenger seat.
Inside, the sociable seating layout makes a welcoming space to relax, eat or play games at the end of the day.
Colour-matched cab upholstery is a popular optional extra, and every seat can be finished in your choice of fabrics, leathers and stitch patterns for a genuinely bespoke feel.
Beds
The Felton is built around the RIB 112 rock & roll bed — a comfortable, reliable double that’s quick to set up and easy to tuck away when you’re back on the move.
The RIB bench doubles as your main seating by day and a proper double bed by night, upholstered to your choice of fabric and finish.
With the front-opening pop-top roof up, you gain proper standing height and a generous upper bed, giving space for two more to sleep comfortably — without converting anything else.
Whether you’re a couple, a young family or heading off on long summer trips, the Felton’s sleeping setup stays simple, reliable and perfect for vanlife, adventure travel and everyday use.
Water
The Felton comes with an underslung fresh-water tank as standard — neatly wrapping around the spare wheel to keep floor space clear — feeding the sink in the side kitchen via a diaphragm pump.
The waste-water tank sits within the kitchen unit, so there’s nothing to lift in and out. Both the fresh and waste tanks are drained at the touch of a button through the SavvyVan control centre — no fiddling, no mess.
A Porta Potti toilet is fitted as standard beneath the RIB bench, tucked out of sight until it’s needed. Upgrade options include hot-water systems and an external rear shower point for rinsing sandy feet, wetsuits or muddy boots.
Everything is designed to be easy to use, easy to maintain and perfectly suited to real-world vanlife.
Kitchen
The Felton’s side kitchen is where the higher-quality build really shows. Lightweight ply cabinetry is hand-sprayed in our booth using the highest-quality paint — so your units can be almost any colour, with most customers choosing a Farrow & Ball shade — and topped with a solid-wood worktop, with a live-edge finish available as a popular upgrade.
Beneath the units, kickboards conceal an ambient toe-kick light that lifts the whole van, giving softer, more natural light and making it feel effortless to stand and cook alongside the kitchen.
A combined hob & sink unit keeps things clean and simple, paired with a 50L compressor fridge and an inbuilt 240V microwave as standard. There’s generous storage, a full drawer set and a place for everything.
It’s a traditional layout, built and finished to a standard the flat-pack crowd simply don’t reach.
Storage
The Felton makes the most of a traditional layout, with every bit of storage carefully planned so you’re not living out of bags or piling gear on the bed.
The kitchen units, drawers and overhead lockers give dedicated space for clothes, food and essentials, while the space beneath the RIB bench houses the Porta Potti alongside handy room for bedding and softer bits.
Additional storage is worked into the living area for the things you reach for most — chargers, books, kids’ bits — all neatly tucked away without cluttering the floor.
Everything feels calm and intentional, even on longer trips or when you’re travelling with the full crew.
Electrics: Premium Victron Power
The Felton is built around a premium Victron electrical system and a 105Ah Roamer lithium leisure battery — dependable, efficient power for real-world adventures, weekend trips and daily-driver use.
Everything is simple, safe and intuitive to operate, with all functions monitored through the SavvyVan touch-screen control centre — letting you check battery levels, lighting and tank readings at a glance.

If you’re planning longer trips or running heavier appliances, the Felton can be upgraded with a larger lithium battery, bigger solar capacity, a higher-output DC-DC charger and an inverter for gas-free cooking and 240V appliances on the move.
Gas & Heating
The Felton keeps heating simple and reliable, ready for year-round adventures.
A 2kW Autoterm air-blown diesel heater comes as standard, paired with a clean single-button controller — quick to respond and keeping the van warm through every season.
Cooking is handled by the combined hob & sink unit, supplied via a refillable Campingaz bottle safely housed in a metal gas locker, with copper pipework throughout for a proper, permanent installation. Smoke and carbon-monoxide alarms are fitted as standard.
If you’d like a gas-free setup, an induction hob and inverter can be specified — perfect for modern, off-grid-friendly Transporter and Transit Custom campers.

Every Felton includes our front-opening pop top, a complete Victron electrical package with a Roamer lithium battery, painted wall panels, hand-sprayed ply cabinetry in your choice of colour, a RIB 112 bed, Vanshades blinds throughout, upper LED light tracks, ambient toe-kick lighting and an underslung fresh-water tank as standard.
Upgrades are available for electrics, heating, cooking, flooring and finishes — allowing you to tailor the Felton to your lifestyle without changing the core design. With a choice of any LVT flooring, any cabinet colour and specced wall-panel colours, no two Feltons need look the same.
