Built around the long-wheelbase Ford Transit Custom or LWB VW Transporter, the Budle offers three belted seats up front (or two, if preferred), with the option to add a fourth using a hidden Aguti belted rear seat with ISOFIX.
With its clever rear-kitchen layout giving access from inside and outside, the Budle feels more refined than the usual flat-pack, carpet-lined conversions you see everywhere else. The Budle is perfect if you want the flexibility of a daily driver camper with the comfort of a fully-functional home on wheels. The interior layout is bright, warm and practical, with a social seating space behind the cab and a kitchen you can use from inside or out — ideal for weekend warriors and family travel.
With four belted seats available, customisable upholstery and a wide choice of cabinet colours and finishes, the Budle feels more personal and premium than the typical VW Transporter camper conversions on the market.

These vans provide everything you need for a compact but capable layout with a pull-out bed, rear kitchen, pop-top roof and generous seating space. You supply the base van — and we’re always happy to advise on the best VW Transporter or Transit Custom for your build.
Seating: 4 Berth Capacity for Family or Friends
Designed for everyday life and adventure, the Budle comes with 3 belted seats in the cab as standard — a single driver seat and a swivelling double passenger bench. If you need through-cab access, the double can be swapped for a single.
You can upgrade to a 4th travelling seat using a compact fold-out Aguti belted rear seat with ISOFIX, which tucks neatly away when not in use.
Inside the living area, a sociable seating layout runs along the driver’s side, with an additional seat on the passenger side — creating a welcoming space to relax, eat or play games at the end of the day.
All upholstery can be fully customised with your choice of colours, fabrics and stitch patterns—offering a far more premium feel than the mass-produced VW Transporter Campervan interiors.
Beds
The Budle is designed to provide flexible, reliable sleeping options in a compact footprint — with most customers choosing the pop-top for extra headroom and a generous upper bed.
Your main sleeping space comes from the rear pull-out bench, creating a comfortable double for two. It’s quick to set up and easy to tuck away again when you’re back on the move.
With the pop top roof up, you gain proper standing height and a large upper bed, giving you space for two more adults to sleep comfortably — without converting anything else.
Whether you’re a couple, a young family or heading off on long summer trips, the Budle’s sleeping setup stays simple, reliable and perfect for vanlife, adventure travel and everyday use.
Water
The Budle keeps things reliable with an underslung fresh-water tank (40L in the Transit Custom, 60L in the VW Transporter) feeding the sink in the rear kitchen. A 20L waste tank is housed neatly inside the kitchen unit for easy access, emptying and cleaning.
Both tanks can be monitored and drained using the SavvyVan touch-screen control centre, so you always know your levels at a glance—ideal for compact off-grid campervan living.
Upgrade options include hot-water systems, a rear external shower point and a composting toilet for those who prefer a low-maintenance, eco-friendly setup. A discreet Thetford Porta Potti sits neatly beneath the bench seat until needed.

Kitchen
The Budle’s rear kitchen is designed for real usability — whether you’re cooking inside the van or outside under the awning. Everything is built in-house using lightweight materials and finished with your choice of solid-wood worktop for a warm, durable, properly “NC” look.
At the centre of the layout is a top-loading compressor fridge on dual sliders, giving access from both the living area and the rear doors — one of the Budle’s standout features.
The main kitchen unit includes a twin-burner gas hob as standard, with most customers upgrading to induction for a cleaner, gas-free, more off-grid friendly setup. There’s also a pull-out worktop at the back of the van for extra prep space when cooking outdoors.
Generous storage, a tall wardrobe unit, a dedicated pantry and a full drawer set mean everything has a place — keeping your compact camper tidy, calm and practical for everyday use.
Storage
The Budle might be compact, but every inch of storage has been carefully planned so you’re not living out of bags or piling gear on the bed.
The rear kitchen and wardrobe offer dedicated spaces for clothes, food and essentials, while the bench seating provides deep compartments for bulkier items like bedding, tools or outdoor gear. Every inch is used smartly in this compact off-grid campervan.
Additional storage is integrated throughout the living area for the things you reach for most — chargers, books, kids’ bits — all neatly tucked away without cluttering the floor.

Gas & Heating
The Budle keeps things simple and reliable with a compact heating setup ideal for a daily camper or weekend warrior build.
A 2kW Autoterm diesel heater comes as standard, paired with our Push Controller — a clean, single-button interface with stepped power modes and colour-status lighting. It’s quick to respond and keeps the Budle warm through every season.
Your cooking fuel defaults to a twin-burner gas hob, supplied via a rear-mounted refillable gas system safely housed in a metal locker. Most Budle owners choose to upgrade to an induction hob for a cleaner, gas-free setup — perfect for modern Transporter and Transit Custom campers.
If you’d like hot water, you can add a Bobil electric mini water heater, along with an external rear shower point for rinsing sandy feet, wetsuits or muddy boots.
