The Blagdon is our biggest family-friendly layout, designed for comfort, space and everyday usability. With 4–5 belted seats, flexible sleeping for up to five, a full internal shower room and a seriously capable off-grid setup, it keeps everyone comfortable on the move — whether you’re weekending, road-tripping or living on the road full-time.
Built on a LWB Sprinter with side pods (or XLWB Boxer), it gives you the ideal balance of driveability, storage and living space. There’s room for family life to unfold naturally — eating together, relaxing, settling the kids for bed, or simply having space to breathe at the end of a long day.
The Blagdon suits growing families, adventurous couples, or anyone who wants a spacious, calm layout that still works day-to-day. It’s your base for slow mornings, big adventures, and everything in between.
Compatible Vans: LWB Sprinter Conversion UK Bases
The Blagdon works best in long-wheelbase panel vans with enough room for the rear bed, full shower enclosure and generous living space.
It’s suitable for the following base vehicles:

XLWB Peugeot Boxer / Citroën Relay / Fiat Ducato / Vauxhall Movano
These vans offer the ideal mix of interior width, garage space and driveability — especially for growing families or anyone who needs room to stretch out.
You supply the base vehicle, but we’re always happy to help you choose the right one.
Seating
Designed around real family life, the Blagdon comes with 5 belted seats as standard. That’s three in the cab and two in the rear.
In the cab, you’ll have a driver seat + double passenger bench as standard. If you prefer a walkthrough feel or only need four travelling seats, the bench can be swapped for a single passenger seat instead.
The two rear belted seats are built into a crash-tested rock & roll bed, and you can choose between a Fabworx system or a RIB 112 — both offering two ISOFIX points for child seats and both known for safety, comfort, and long-term durability.
In the main living space, an extendable bench seat faces the rear belted seats, creating a comfortable dining area where four people can sit together around the table. A fifth person can perch on the bed or the staircase when needed.
All upholstery can be fully personalised with your choice of materials, colours and stitch patterns — so the whole space feels like yours from day one.
Beds: Fixed Bed Campervan Conversion & 5-Berth Flexibility
The Blagdon is designed to comfortably sleep four to five people, making it ideal for growing families or adventurous couples who want plenty of space to unwind at the end of the day.
The rear fixed bed measures around 195 x 120cm (or upgrade this to a pull out to 140cm), giving two adults a generous sleeping platform with great headroom and easy access.
Below, the rock & roll bed transforms into an exceptionally long, comfortable double — perfect for adults, teens or taller sleepers who need the extra stretch.
A fifth bed can be created using a compact fold-out cab mattress, which sits securely across the front seats. It’s a great option for a child or smaller adult on longer trips.
Every sleeping space is designed with comfort, durability and real-life family use in mind — warm lighting, cosy finishes, and layouts that make bedtime simple whether you’re on a quick weekend escape or a full summer adventure.
Shower & Water
The Blagdon includes a full internal shower enclosure, giving you proper privacy and comfort wherever you camp.
Finished with Reco wall panels and a Tamdour or Roldour shower door along with a stainless steel shower tray (poweder coated to any colour choice), it’s bright, durable and easy to clean — built for everyday family use.
A Thetford cassette toilet comes as standard, with the option to upgrade to a composting toilet if you prefer a low-maintenance, eco-friendly setup.
In the garage, you’ll also find an external hot & cold shower, perfect for rinsing sandy feet, muddy dogs or kids fresh from adventures.
Water is supplied via an underslung fresh-water tank with a digital level indicator, plus a hot-water system powered by the Bobil Air Hybrid — giving you hot water off-grid via your diesel heater or on campsite hook-up.
As always, finishes like wall colour, shower hardware and door style can all be customised to suit your preferred look.

CAD to CNC: We design our main furniture components in CAD and use CNC cutting to achieve millimeter-perfect precision and structural integrity.
Hand-Finished Assembly: Crucially, our skilled team then meticulously assembles, edge-bands, and preps every piece by hand, blending traditional craftsmanship with digital accuracy.
In-House Spray Finish: We utilize a professional, in-house spray booth with a high-end, durable paint product to deliver a seamless, immaculate finish that truly sets Northern Conversions apart.

Storage
The Blagdon is designed to make the most of every inch, giving you clever, family-friendly storage throughout the van.
Up front, there’s a large overhead cab shelf for daily essentials, plus generous storage beneath the rear rock & roll bed — ideal for bulky items, bedding and adventure gear.
The kitchen offers plenty of cupboard space for cookware and food, along with drawers for cutlery and utensils.
Beside the shower sits a dedicated shoe-storage unit, perfect for muddy boots and everyday footwear.
In the living area, the extendable bench seat includes storage underneath and a pull-out drawer above — ideal for toys, blankets or anything you want quick access to on the road.
Overhead, a four-section locker runs along the driver’s side, providing space for clothing and toiletries, and housing the electrical control panel.
Finally, the rear garage has room for the dining table, cab-bed mattress, the electrical system, and plenty of space left for camping chairs, outdoor gear or sports kits.
